The construction project of Kowsar Educational, Research and Treatment Center was approved in November 2006 following the blessed visit of the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenei (PBUH) to Semnan province and according to the order of His Holiness Leh, and on a land of 32 hectares and with an area of 25,000 square meters by the executive body of the Ministry of Roads and Urban Development (the organization implementing government and public buildings and facilities) in the same year began construction.
Lip coat, post coat, ECU, open heart surgery and related operating room, according to the necessity and discretion of the university management team, started operating in this center in September 2012, and finally in the winter of 2012 with a visit of the President to The official form was opened.
Transfer of the former Fatemieh Hospital to this center as an internal center in August 2013 with the internal departments of men, chemotherapy, gynecology, neurology, dialysis, internal emergency, internal ECU, CCU and was done and the hospital was officially put into operation. According to the schedule, the surgical wards were transferred from Amir Al-Momenin Hospital in June 2014 and operated as a surgical center with surgical emergency wards, men's surgery, gynecological surgery, outpatient surgery, surgical ICU and operating room. Started and on the mentioned date, Kosar Educational, Research and Treatment Center as an internal medicine and surgery center in Semnan continued its activities in providing diagnostic and treatment services.
Also, other wards like Scopy (Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, Endosonography), Cardiovascular (Cath lab, Post CCU, Heart Operating Room, Open Heart Surgery) and VIP were added to the hospital in 2019.
