The hospital support unit is on the ground floor of the hospital next to the discharge accounting.

 

Description of social worker:

A social worker is a person whose goal in the field of health is to improve the social function of individuals and groups. The physician treats and the caregiver participates in the program of prevention, treatment and follow-up of the disease. It is cheap for the comfort of patients and, based on the phrase that the ideal of social work is (my light illuminates the lives of others), is to build a safe haven from the worries that occasionally threaten patients' lives.

 

A brief description of the duties of the social work unit:

1) Daily inspection of hospital wards with the aim of:

* Identify and assist patients in need, incurable patients and special patients including kidney failure, MS, cancer patients, thalassemia patients, hemophilia, etc.

* Identifying homeless and excluded patients, including the elderly, disabled, addicted, runaway girls, and identifying the family by a caregiver, or delivering the patient to welfare through judicial authorities

* Identify patients who are not covered by any type of insurance and guide and inform the mentioned patients to use insurance

* Guidance and information to patients with traffic injuries to use Article (92) (Free of charge by providing an accident sketch)

* Take the necessary measures for the mentally ill and the unidentified and abandoned guardians

* Following up the affairs of the accused sent from the checkpoint, prison, soldiers and welfare clients and the relief committee

* Coordination and necessary measures for the affairs of foreign immigrant patients and coordination with relevant organizations (Red Crescent)

* Identifying cases of elder abuse, spouse abuse, child abuse and introducing them to the social emergency to check the family situation and solve the patient's problem by interviewing the patient and his family or introducing him to the caregiver through the treatment team.

2) Establishing effective and continuous consolidation and management with:

* Governmental, public, support organizations such as Welfare Organization, Imam Khomeini Relief Committee, Red Crescent

* Charities and charitable foundations such as the Foundation for Special Diseases, including: MS, thalassemia, hemophilia, kidney, heart and cancer patients

* United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) for Afghan and Iraqi Foreign Patients to attract cash and non-cash resources to assist and assist disadvantaged and financially disadvantaged patients

3) Identifying and attracting donors, including natural and legal persons, and establishing relations with them in order to attract financial resources and support patients in need.

4) Communicating with charities and donors to introduce patients in need of cash and non-cash support to special and incurable patients

5) Communicating and attracting the cooperation of the Welfare Organization and its affiliated centers

Such as care centers for the rehabilitation of socially disadvantaged women and girls, nursing homes, nursing homes and mental health centers ... for sending and receiving patients after discharge of disabled patients, runaway children, the elderly rejected by their families ... addicted patients and injured women Social vision and infants released through the judicial authorities to these centers and organs in order to organize and assist the mentioned patients

6) Communicating with the treatment team to provide emotional and psychological support to patients in various ways, including:

* Pursue the improvement of social and psychological status of patients after discharge from the hospital and prepare patients psychologically to facilitate re-entry into the community.

7) Establishing appropriate communication and cooperation with other health centers to use their facilities and facilities in order to meet the needs of patients

8) Establishing appropriate communication and cooperation and coordination with legal authorities, such as the prosecutor's office, police station, forensic medicine and police stations, moral security police in order to:

* Assigning tasks for abandoned persons, cases of child abuse and spousal abuse and elder abuse, guardianship of unaccompanied or badly cared for children and adolescents

* Identification of patients who have died unknown

* Pursuing the receipt of documents of random patients and accused of police stations, etc. with the coordination and cooperation of the security and discipline unit of the center

9) Procurement of expensive medicines for patients in need, unaccompanied, etc., through coordination with donors and charities, etc.

11) Recording statistics and information related to discounts related to patients covered by line 129086 and special patients (dialysis, MS ...) subject to paragraph (b) of Note (15) of cancer patients, psychiatrists, the poor, non-traffic injured and Submitting reports to superior devices

12) Investigating the shortcomings and problems and submitting a report to the directorate and management of the center

13) Performing other duties and affairs assigned according to the different organizational and environmental conditions and requirements of the hospital
